Farmer's Market Season
It’s farmer’s market season!
How special it was to be part of the Monroe Street Farmers Market kickoff last weekend. We saw familiar faces, met new customers, and soaked up the fresh air alongside an incredible lineup of homegrown goods.
There’s a certain buzz that comes with the first market of the season—a welcome shift into longer, warmer days and a collective goodbye to winter (finally). That energy always brings us back to why we do this: a deep appreciation for local agriculture and the tradition of showing up for local producers. It’s a meaningful part of Wisconsin culture—and something we’re proud to be part of.
One thing that makes the Monroe Street market especially unique is its producer-only model. Every item sold must be grown, gathered, or made in Wisconsin by the vendor—no reselling allowed. We even submitted photos of our greenhouses as part of the application process (which, if you’ve been following along, you know we were more than happy to do 😊).
The Waunakee Farmers Market will be holding to that same standard this season. It’s something we care deeply about: celebrating the work behind each product and connecting you directly with the people who make it.
We can’t wait to bring the market back to the community this June. Mark your calendar—the Waunakee Farmers Market kicks off June 6 from 8am to noon. We hope to see you there!
